     Bill Trainor is a co-founder and the fund manager and serves on the investment committee of Access Ventures Fund.  He is also co-founder and Managing Director of Mutual Capital Partners Fund I LP  (www.MutualCapitalPartners.com), a venture fund providing operational liquidity and expansion capital to post-revenue growth companies located in the Midwest.

     Marc Morgenstern is a co-founder and serves on the investment committee of Access Ventures Fund. He is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Mesa Partners (www.BlueMesaPartners.com), co-located in San Francisco and Cleveland. Blue Mesa was formed in 1996 to make private investments in early-stage and emerging growth companies. Blue Mesa and its affiliates also serve as Senior Advisor to public and private companies, transactions, management, and Boards of Directors. Marc was also a co-founder and principal of Equity Realty Securities Co., a real estate syndication broker-dealer.
 
     Prior to focusing entirely on his entrepreneurial activities, until 2007, Marc was the West Coast leader of the Corporate and Securities practice for Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (a national law firm) following his 15 years of service as the Managing Partner of a Midwest law firm. He is widely known as a veteran deal maker who has negotiated and closed hundreds of transactions, and a prolific author of thought-leading articles, many of which have led to substantial regulatory or industry practice changes.
 
     He was the Founding Lawyer for OfficeMax, and served as a Director of Mr. Gasket Co. (NASDAQ). He is currently a Director of Cardinal Commerce Corporation, and a member of the Board of Advisors of Capstone Partners, as well as other private companies. Marc has been a member of the Executive Committee of the SEC's Small Business Capital Formation Conference for more than 20 years, and is a long-time Board member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. His BA is from Yale University and his JD is from Boston University.

     Kip Schmidt serves on the investment committe of Access Ventures Fund.  He is also a Partner with CT Partners.  One of the first seasoned search professionals recruited by company founders, Kip has been integral to CT Partners’ evolution as one of the world’s leading search firms.  Acting in a senior advisory capacity, Kip provides consultation to the firm on a variety of strategic issues.
     Kip entered the search profession as an Executive Director with Russell Reynolds Associates. His practice focused on serving technology and manufacturing clients.  A respected technology industry executive, Kip held positions of increasing responsibility during an 18-year tenure with Xerox Corporation, Bendix Automation Group, a subsidiary of Allied Corporation, and serving as a consultant to Coulter Systems Corporation.
     Kip received a BSEE degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned an MBA degree from the University of Rochester. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
